Background Information
- The Self-Sufficiency Center is a non-profit organization that serves individuals, single parents, minorities, the elderly, and the disabled.
- The program began in 1992 with a free business training program called Entrepreneurship for Single Parents and Minorities
- Clothing & Connections (C & C) was added in February 1999
- Progressive Office Experience (POE) began January 1999 (formerly known as Temporary Work Training)
- Entrepreneurship for Single Parents & Minorities (ESPM) began in 1992.
